Student Researchers: The most important component of this project is the raw data. Aside from the Bronx Oral History Project, the interviews for this corpus primarily derive from the hard work of our students at the City University of New York. In addition to enthusiastically and successfully engaging with members of their own communities to produce the interviews that form the basis of the CUNY-CoNYCE, many of these students have also provided “first-pass” transcriptions of the interviews (see Protocol for Creation). Their contribution to this project is immeasurable, and we acknowledge them here.
